Kalif Troy is a native North Philadelphian, who holds a B.A. in Communications & Theater with an exploratory concentration in African American studies from Temple University. Kalif is an Artivist (An Artist-Activist) who seeks to disrupt the status quo and heal through his art. As an actor, he has worked in regional theater, regional and national commercials, print ads, short film and industrials with a strong pursuit into film/tv. He is a director for theater and produced his first short film. In his artistic pursuit, he pushes the boundaries on Black images to exhibit that the Black experience is not monolithic. He is also the father of a young Black girl who is destined to change the world around her. He is excited to continue his work as an artistic community builder in his role with Freewoods Films!
